BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong on Monday met with Singaporean Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam in Beijing.
Wang said China is willing to work with Singapore to improve mechanisms and deepen cooperation in areas such as drug control, immigration management, and combating telecom fraud, online fraud and economic crime. He also said that they should strive to achieve further practical results and bring greater benefits to the people of both countries.
He said China is willing to work with Singapore to implement the important consensus reached between their heads of state, viewing and developing bilateral law enforcement and security-related cooperation from a strategic, long-term perspective.
Shanmugam expressed his willingness to maintain close communication with China and deepen practical cooperation on law enforcement and security. ■
