KABUL, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Heavy rain, which triggered a flash flood in Qadis district of western Afghanistan's Badghis province, claimed four lives on Saturday, provincial police spokesman Sediqullah Sediqi said Sunday.
The natural disaster has also caused property damage, the official said, adding that a survey is underway in the flood-affected areas to determine the exact number of casualties and property damage inflicted on the people.
Parts of Afghanistan, including the capital city Kabul, have been receiving downpour, which triggered flash floods in some areas over the past couple of days. ■
